Datanomic Key Takeaways: Creating A New Path To Wellbeing For Europe (Dec. 17th, 2020 Session D21)
Updated: 6 days ago
During and after our session, guests of Siemens, Istari Global, The Own Your Data Foundation, Ahura AI and parts of the Cloud Nation explained a variety of their next steps in 2021 based on economics and datanomics.
The partners vow to undertake self-checks in order to ensure that different levels of wellbeing (individual, organizational, societal and other) are being addressed by all people in Europe and beyond.
Below we outline 4 areas that Siemens is engaging in with the European Commission, based on economics & datanomics:
‘Farm to fork’ (included in the heart of the Green Deal)
...creating sustainable food systems based on economics, collective (emotional) intelligence & other forms of data - aka. datanomics
...fostering availability, affordability, quality for consumers & individual well-being, societal well-being based on economics, collective (emotional) intelligence & other forms of data - aka. datanomics
...ensuring livelihood of small producers based on economics, collective (emotional) intelligence & other forms of data - aka. datanomics
...reducing the impact of pesticides, fertilization and biodiversity loss based on economics, collective (emotional) intelligence & other forms of data - aka. datanomics
"Siemens Impact Initiative" (this is expanded after the restructuring of the company in the next months based on economics, collective (emotional) intelligence & other forms of data - aka. datanomics):
...food systems need a lot of energy. Any sustainable solution needs to fit in with a low CO2 footprint energy generation, Siemens gets ready to help with this
...renewables at Siemens have driven the industrialization of wind energy systems further in the past. According to the company, it greatly increased efficiency and reduced the cost of wind farms and wind energy generation in general, with a specific focus on offshore collection)
...as green H2 is produced through electrolysis, Siemens invests heavily in R&D to build a more efficient electrolyzer, which is a bottleneck in the production of inexpensive, green H2.
H2 is THE most important energy topic in Europe now, according to representatives of Siemens. As a side note, Green H2 can be used to make non-fossil fuels for farming and farming chemicals through low carbon processes
...Siemens Energy furthermore works on a process to certify green energy in order to help underdeveloped countries based on datanomics leapfrog the fossil stage and go straight to the use of renewable energy
...the World Datanomic Forum and the World Datanomic Consultancy are advising the Siemens Impact Initiative in a variety of ways together with partners such as Istary Global, the Own Your Data Foundation and others
‘Blockchain Technology’ (BC)…. Enabling new business models based on data(nomics)
Transparency of information, tracking of information, accountability through Blockchain can digitize trust and individual, organizational, societal well-being
Siemens impact: due to the rise of "the renewable generation", the company manages a transformation from central fossil to decentralized green energy generation systems/ networks that must be managed well. Siemens designs and manages decentralized energy generation systems and networks together with the World Datanomic Forum and the World Datanomic Consultancy for and with other partners throughout different sectors and industries. BC is seen as a key enabler
...we all can and will be consumers AND producers of energy – solar on our roof/ windmill on site/ storage in battery or our car. Smart networks based on BC allow for the optimal management of capacities, direct energy trading systems of (and for) producers and consumers, and for the removal of unnecessary middle agents in flows of value and power/energy
...BC helps with the precise tracking of (green) energy - who generated what, when, how was it used and for what. Economics, collective (emotional) intelligence & other forms of data - aka. datanomics - are used here to identify best and worst case scenarios of action, as well as to improve the experience of users in the creation, storage and usage of energy, value and power
The World Datanomic Forum and the World Datanomic Consultancy conducts studies together with partners such as Istary Global, the Own Your Data Foundation, the European Commission, Stanford University, Siemens and others in order to explore what green energy really is and what it's not. The aim here is to identify and cross-out greenwashing scenarios, and to thereby increase macro-societal well-being across different regions, sectors and industries. As a result, new corporate and user-centric designs and models are being shaped and built around transparency. Energyusers seem to uplift their own willingness to pay extra for certified green energy.
‘Just Transition Funds’ are starting in early 2021 to support the transformation of fossil fuel intensive regions towards non-fossil energy systems
...The first upcoming test case powered by the fund is the ‘Pszczyna Project', wherein the most polluted city in Poland is transformed from coal to green energy in order to improve the quality of air for locals and visitors in the region, and to improve the wellbeing of the people
...Establishment of local H2 economy structures in order to primarily support the production and the storage of H2 energy instead of energy generated from coal. The funds push for the migration of workforces "from coal to green jobs"
(Specific contribution of Siemens: H2 production from renewables (electrolyzer) and H2 combustion as needed)
Presenting and pushing the ‘Gaya X project’
…. Gaya X launched five weeks ago as the latest the European cloud solution to foster collective (emotional) intelligence based on datanomics and economics.
More takeaways will be added shortly.
